Growing up in Lagos, food was never just food. It was how we showed love. Vivi's Kitchen is me sharing that love with everyone who walks through our door.

Vivi Okonkwo, Founder & Head Chef

Vivi's Kitchen started as a dream — to bring the bold, unapologetic flavours of Nigerian cuisine and the communal joy of a seafood boil together under one roof. What started as a small dining room in 2021 has become one of the most talked-about restaurants in the city.

Everything we do is rooted in authenticity. The spice blends are made from scratch each morning. The seafood arrives fresh daily. And every plate that leaves the kitchen is made the way Vivi would make it for her own family.

Fresh Daily

Every seafood delivery is inspected by Vivi herself. If it's not fresh enough for her family, it's not going on your table.

Our spice blends are made from scratch using Nigerian recipes passed down through the family. No shortcuts.

How we got here
2021

The Beginning

Vivi's Kitchen opens its doors with a simple promise: authentic Nigerian flavours and the finest seafood boils, made with love.

2022

The Secret Gets Out

Word spreads fast. Weekend queues form down the street. The Friday Boil Night becomes a weekly institution.

2023

Going Bigger

We expand the dining room to meet demand and launch the Family Boil Box — now our most popular order.

2024

Private Events

The private dining room opens for exclusive hire. Birthdays, anniversaries, and corporate celebrations find a new home.

2025

Community Roots

Vivi's Kitchen is named Best African Restaurant in the city. The community that built us celebrates with us.
